Back from Nashville

This will be a short post, as I am knee deep in filling orders and working on new projects.

The Nashville Market was WONDERFUL this year and I want to thank all of you for your support !!!!

Lots of shops came in with preorders which just shows you've been checking out all the blogs and I really do appreciate you attention.

Now for a peek at market.......I really didn't get out much (not that I'm complaining), but here are a few of my friends I just had to visit.......and if you see any prices, they are all wholesale, so please forgive my lack of computer skills in trying to remove them........

Shepherds' Bush had darling spring things as usual.  I'm hoping your local shops were able to get their hands on some of it for you !!
Tina & Teri are the best and it's always so good to be able to spend a little time with them........

Sweet Paulette from Plum Street Samplers had great new stuff and I was especially taken with her new reproduction sampler.......

We had to do a "Vanna" poise for Teri , who then wanted us to follow her to all the booths and do the same poise....needless to say, it didn't happen.

On to Blackbird Designs, where I also found another wonderful reproduction as well as their new book. What can I say about them that hasn't been said........they're always coming up with great stuff .........they never disappoint !!

Then I had to stop in at Needlework Press and congratulate them on their fabulous new  Kansas City Star book.

Meagan is standing in front of the scarf that inspired the whole book..........she and Vickie have really become a creative force !!

And then I snuck down to Stacy Nash's room just to get a hint of spring.......

Last, but hopefully, not least, here's a peek at my room !!

In the above picture, you can see the way I finished the new little kit (1776 Harbor)....using weeks wool (I also did it in red), nun stitched around the outer border and then stitched through the nun stitch into the wool and turned it into a tiny pillow.

That's all I managed to get ........if you want to see some great pictures, I'm sure Plum Street will not disappoint (I'd love to hire her as my official photographer in her free time...Ha, ha)

Like I said, despite bad weather and a few room glitches, etc, the market was wonderful.  I always come back home feeling refreshed and renewed, having spent time with all these creative and loving people and this year was no exception !!

I really feel so very lucky to be able to be a part of this industry.........there's nothing better than doing what you love for a living !!

Thanks again to all of you who continue to support me.......may you find time every day to take a stitch !

Nashville Market Preview

Yikes !!!!!  I can't believe it's almost time to leave for Nashville.  Where did the time go...seems like I just "de-christmased" the house.

I'm still getting ready, but I do have all my charts and kits finished, so I'll give you a quick peek, and if you like what you see, you can call your local shop and put in an order.

This first design is " Berry House Stitch Book" and includes instructions for assembling the  pieces and an alphabet to personalize your  panels......

This Sampler is "Springtime of Youth". It incorporates several specialty stitches and a favorite verse of mine.

The "Queen Bee" stitch book is a pretty quick stitch and also includes finishing instructions and an alphabet for you personalization.

"Hope of Spring" is the fourth and final in the seasonal series I didn't know I was designing (long story).....but this is the last one !!

This next one is "Chessie's Make Do Sampler".  The model is done on 3 different pieces of linen and then assembled .  Some satin stitch is applied over the top to cover some of the assembly seams.  It was a fun and little different piece to do, and you could certainly stitch the whole design on one piece of linen if you desired.

And finally, last but not least.......I've got another kit for you.  It's "1776 Harbor"  and I think it's my favorite kit so far.  As usual, it comes complete with lakeside linen, silk thread and needle, so you can open the package and start stitching !!!

That's all for now...hope you've seen something you like.  I'm off to start packing the van and since we're "below 0" again today, I'm guessing the "Panda bear" will be giving me a hand.

I'll be back with a report from Nashville next week.......wish me luck and decent driving weather !!!!

Stay warm and keep stitching,
Hugs, Linda
